Ladies and gentlemen of the press,
Thank you for kindly accepting our invitation to this meeting taking place in just a few hours of the first appearance of President Laurent Gbagbo before the International Criminal Court (ICC).
After an investigation illuminates, Mr. Louis Moreno-Ocampo, Prosecutor of the ICC, has issued November 23, 2011, the judicial authorities of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, an international arrest warrant against the President Laurent Gbagbo, arbitrarily detained since April 11, 2011 in the north by the forces of Mr. Alassane Ouattara. On Tuesday, November 29, 2011, President Gbagbo was brutally and illegally deported to Europe, specifically Schvenigen Detention Center, located on the outskirts of The Hague.
We denounce the bias of a senseless procedure, allegedly judiciary, which led to the illegal transfer and equally illegal incarceration of President Gbagbo, the propitiation of political justice in a case handled by a court which, in this case is more politics than law. It is an illusion here, to think that justice would be guided by the search for truth.
The presence of President Laurent Gbagbo in the dock is clearly a miscarriage of justice, a deception, a move to liquidate politically, socially and physically a man who dedicated his life to defend his political ideas in a peaceful manner, to a democratic ideal and respect for the sovereign institutions of Côte d'Ivoire.
It should be noted that in this post-election conflict, the perpetrators are gentlemen Alassane Ouattara, Guillaume Soro and their mercenaries.
From the beginning of the post-election crisis, a commando "invisible" directed by Ibrahim Coulibaly alias "IB", former bodyguard of Mr. Alassane Ouattara and co-author of the 2002 rebellion perpetrated deadly attacks against the force enforcement and civilian neighborhoods of Abidjan.
What head of state, worthy of the name could have left its people to be massacred without asking the army to intervene to stand up against these mercenaries of Ouattara and end the massacre?Without the intervention of the government army of thousands of villages were wiped off the map of Côte d'Ivoire by the mercenaries of Mr. Ouattara.
It can not seriously be retained against President Laurent Gbagbo responsible for atrocities allegedly committed on civilian populations.
It should also be remembered that this entire crisis was born of an electoral dispute that could have been solved by the simple recount, as proposed by President Laurent Gbagbo.Unfortunately, Mr. Alassane OUATARRA categorically refused the recount, and preferred a military attack by his mercenaries to the seizure of power.Even the UN Secretary General held that the recount would be an "injustice" and preferred the bombing of civilians has caused thousands of deaths.
Thus the bombing of civilian sites by the UN and the French army, combined with the atrocities committed by the mercenaries of Mr. Ouattara culminated in the capture, sequestration, and the deportation of President Laurent Gbagbo to ICCI.
Thus, by the will of France, Ouattara was transferred to the ICC, President Laurent Gbagbo in violation of the Ivorian constitution and laws. This is a trial of neo-colonialism. The ICC has become the instrument, the matter of France, which uses it to satisfy his dark designs policies, dictate the political landscape in Africa, helping to power of friends or punish recalcitrant African leaders like President Gbagbo.
Indeed, the status of former Chief of President Laurent Gbagbo should have conditioned his transfer to prior authorization of the National Assembly requested by the Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court.
Moreover, as the current officio member of the Ivorian Constitutional Council, the transfer of President Laurent Gbagbo also required prior approval of the Constitutional Council, in addition to stopping the Indictment allowing his extradition.Neither of these procedures was not respected! None of the prior authorization was requested by the Ivorian authorities.
In addition, before any transfer, he returned the Ivorian authorities to obtain waivers from the Council of the United Nations Security Council and the European Union to allow the transfer of President Laurent Gbagbo legally given the extent travel ban which struck him.The Ivorian authorities are again unable to justify such exemptions.
How in these conditions can there be justice for treatment is the President Laurent Gbagbo?
Finally, the one reading the arrest warrant is sufficient to be convinced of its nullity.
Indeed, civil status contained therein in no way corresponds to that of President Laurent Gbagbo. Thus, it is mentioned in the warrant of a person named Laurent Gbagbo Koudou, identity does not match that of President Laurent Gbagbo. It is even mentioned in the warrant that the so-called Laurent Koudou Gbagbo, born May 31, 1945 in the village of "Mama, when President Laurent Gbagbo was born May 31, 1945 at Babri (Municipality of GAGNOA ).All show the precipitation, the amateur and the ulterior motives of the Ivorian authorities to see "liquidate" their main political opponent, President Laurent Gbagbo. Open October 3, 2011, the "investigations" were quickly completed, and not surprisingly, the indictment of the suspect favorite of the international community.
No offense to Mr. Ouattara, for an overwhelming majority of Ivorians and Africans, President Laurent Gbagbo remains one of the fathers of democracy and multiparty system in Côte d'Ivoire and Africa, an awakener of consciences, and above all a great pacifist.
President Gbagbo is agaisnt his own will, the main actor of a bad movie series B. There is an error because the real casting leading roles in the drama that is played in Ivory Coast since September 19, 2002, missing:- We believe in particular to Mr. Alassane Ouattara, war chief of the armed rebellion became chief of the military commitment of France, the United States and the UN at the end of an electoral coup .- We also think Mr. Guillaume Soro, political and military leader of the rebellion, now Prime Minister Mr. Ouattara.- Finally, we consider all the mercenaries co-directed and financed by Mr. Ouattara and Soro, perpetrators of heinous crimes that caused the deaths of at least ten thousand people since September 18, 2002.
We are surprised that the prosecutor in the period he bounded to his investigation has overlooked the largest massacre of the post-election period has caused more than eight hundred dead in Duékoué.As observed at Duékoué, victims of OUATTARA forces were chosen based on their ethnicity and their supposed political affinity with the President Laurent Gbagbo.
More seriously, Mr. Ouattara has not only not condemned the killings, but he promoted and assinged responsibility for his mercenaries, despite criticism from international organizations that asked for sanctions against them.
Thus, organizing the appearance of shame, the ICC finally awarded a certificate of impunity and illegitimate tyrannical regime of Mr. Ouattara and his bloodthirsty forces. It creates a de facto jurisprudence that will surely be emulated in Africa and inspire future rebellions.
Thank you.
